Chloe & Mason's Rustic Sunflower Wedding in Lodi, CA

Sunflowers, gold sequins and a red-clad bridal party filled this rustic Lodi reception hall. We kept Chloe and Mason's crowd up and toasting all night long.

The whole room had a warm harvest-country feel before a single guest sat down. Chloe and Mason had built their head table against a barnwood-and-sunflower backdrop, framed it in shimmering gold foil and a long gold-sequin runner, and spelled out MR & MRS in lettering propped along the front. Little mason-jar sunflower arrangements ran the length of the table. It read like a country fair in the best way.

This was an indoor hall, so the sound was ours to shape from the first note. We kept the early part of the evening soft and conversational while the wedding party settled in along that head table, the flower girl in her red tulle dress bouncing between chairs and a few of the bridesmaids in deep crimson laughing over their plates. Earlier in the day, out where Chloe came down the aisle, we'd carried her in on a string version of "Thinking Out Loud," and that same easy warmth followed the day indoors.

Some of my favorite moments here were the small ones. A toast that landed so well Mason had to wipe his eyes. The flower girl marching up to deliver something to the head table mid-speech, completely unbothered by the crowd. The way Chloe kept reaching over to squeeze the hand of the woman seated next to her between courses. Their first dance, "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran, had that same quiet — just the two of them swaying in the amber glow.

When it was time to move, the red-and-gold room turned into a dance floor fast. We opened it with "Shut Up and Dance" and the family was instantly all in. We read this crowd as one that wanted singalongs over deep cuts, so we leaned into the big, arms-around-shoulders anthems — a throwback block with "Hey Ya!" and "Crazy in Love," a quick country detour for Mason's side, then a surge of current hits. The peak was a sweaty, joyful "Don't Stop Believin'" with the whole hall screaming the chorus, and we landed it soft with "Can't Help Falling in Love."

Chloe and Mason, thank you for letting us be part of such a warm, homemade-feeling celebration. That sunflower head table is going to look incredible in your photos for years.
