Hailey & Brandon's Forest Wedding in Jamestown, CA

Sun rays slanting through towering pines, cafe lights strung trunk to trunk, and a stone fire pit at the center. Hailey and Brandon married in the woods near Jamestown.

You don't forget a ceremony like this one. Hailey and Brandon said their vows in a stand of towering pines, afternoon sun cutting down between the trunks in long, dusty beams. We set our booth right at the edge of the clearing, close enough to watch every word land.

The setting did half the work. Cafe lights ran tree to tree overhead, a wooden arch dressed in dried pampas and warm florals framed the couple, and a stone fire pit sat in the middle of it all. The bridesmaids in deep red gave the green-and-gold scene a jolt of color. Sunflowers in the bouquets, oak leaves on the ground, that crisp Tuolumne County foothill air.

Hailey came down a lantern-lined path to "A Thousand Years," and Brandon was emotional from her first step. Ceremonies in the woods are quiet by nature, so we kept cocktail hour soft and acoustic, some Zac Brown Band, a little Gregory Alan Isakov, while the light did its thing.

Then the sun dropped and the whole mood flipped. The grand entrance hit with "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)" and the energy jumped immediately. Their first dance was "Tennessee Whiskey," slow and smoky under the string lights, and the mother-son dance to "Humble and Kind" had Brandon's mom reaching for tissues.

When the floor opened to "Wagon Wheel," this foothills crowd was instantly all in. We ran a country-meets-everything mix, a line-dance block into "Watermelon Crawl," then "Uptown Funk" and "Dancing Queen" to pull everyone up. The peak was a full singalong to "Friends in Low Places," the whole crowd hollering into the cool mountain air. Warm bulbs overhead, a fire nearby, and a couple who never sat down.

Hailey and Brandon, thank you for one of the most beautiful ceremony sites we've ever set up in.
