Wedding Ceremony Sound

Your vows are the most important words of the day — ceremony sound makes sure every guest actually hears them.

Many weddings hold the ceremony and reception in different spots, especially at outdoor venues, vineyards, and ranches. A dedicated ceremony system means your processional, vows, and readings come through clearly — no straining, no dead air, no phone propped against a speaker.

What's included

  • A separate speaker system positioned for your ceremony space
  • Wireless handheld and lavalier (clip-on) microphones
  • A discreet mic for your officiant and readers
  • Processional, interlude, and recessional music, cued to your moments
  • Backup equipment and a sound check before guests arrive

Outdoor wedding sound

Open air is where ceremony audio goes wrong most often: there are no walls to carry sound, wind steals every third word, and the back row is sixty feet from the arch. Our outdoor setups are built for exactly this — battery-powered systems that need no outlet (vineyards, ranches, and garden ceremonies are fully covered), windscreen-fitted microphones, and speakers positioned and angled during the sound check so vows reach the last row without feedback. Guest-arrival music starts about 30 minutes before the processional, so the setting has a soundtrack while people find their seats.

How we mic your vows

Your officiant wears a discreet lavalier mic positioned to pick up all three voices at the arch — so you and your partner don't hold or wear anything unless you want to. Readers get a wireless handheld. We run a full sound check before guests are seated, set levels for the space, and monitor the mix live through the ceremony so a gust of wind or a quiet voice never costs you a word.

How much does ceremony sound cost?

Ceremony audio support is $600 as an add-on to any package — and it comes included in our Full Ceremony and Ultimate Wedding packages, which most couples holding the ceremony and reception at one venue choose. See the full breakdown on our pricing & packages page.

Ceremony sound is a natural pairing with full reception MC services — one team carrying your day from processional to last dance.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need separate ceremony sound if my ceremony and reception are in the same room?+
If everything is in one space, the reception system can often cover the ceremony. When the ceremony is in a separate area — common at outdoor venues — a dedicated ceremony system is the way to keep vows crisp.
How much does ceremony sound cost?+
Ceremony audio support is $600 as an add-on to any package, and it comes included in our Full Ceremony and Ultimate Wedding packages.
Can you mic the officiant and provide vow microphones?+
Yes. We bring a lavalier for the officiant plus wireless handhelds for readings and toasts, with a sound check before guests are seated.
Will it work for an outdoor ceremony with no power?+
Yes — our ceremony systems can run on battery power, so vineyard, garden, and ranch ceremonies are fully covered.
What about wind noise on the microphones?+
Our outdoor mics are fitted with windscreens and we set levels for the conditions during the sound check, then monitor the mix live through the ceremony. Wind is the most common outdoor audio problem, and it's a solved one.
Can you play a custom edit of our processional song?+
Yes — send us the version or edit you want, or tell us where the song should start and swell. We cue processional, interlude, and recessional music to your moments, not the other way around.
